A New Step Towards Permanent Healthcare in Şenköy Neighborhood

Updated on December 15, 2025

Following the devastating earthquakes on February 6, 2023, the Family Health Center in Şenköy became unusable due to severe damage. While healthcare services continued in temporary containers, these makeshift solutions could no longer keep up with the region's growing population and urgent needs.

In response, we have taken action. In partnership with the Hatay Provincial Directorate of Health, International Bulut Humanitarian Aid Health and Education Foundation and Action Medeor have broken ground on a new, permanent Family Health Center in Şenköy. Our goal is simple yet vital: to re-establish safe, sustainable access to primary healthcare for earthquake survivors.

The new facility, located in the Şenköy Neighborhood (Yayladağı, Hatay), features a resilient light steel design. Covering 156 square meters, it is planned to accommodate two family doctors to serve the community better.

We aim to complete the construction and open the doors to the public within three months, depending on weather and site conditions.
